Terms & Conditions
Entrants
1. This competition is open to UK residents (including CI & IoM) aged 12-25 inclusive, except employees & their families of the Promoter, its agencies or anyone professionally associated with the competition. If you are under the age of 16 you must get the consent of a parent or guardian to enter.
2. You may enter as often as you wish, provided that each entry complies with these terms
3. Whatever way you choose to enter, you must include your full name, nickname, age, email address and telephone number.
Entries
4. Entries must be done online on www.myspace.com/dubplatedrama. The promoter accepts no responsibility for difficulties experienced in submitting an entry. Proof of submission will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
5. Entries must be received by 5pm (BST) Monday 25 May 2009.
6. Incomplete or illegible entries will not be considered.
7. The Promoter is unable to return any entries.
8. Entries must consist entirely of original work. By entering this competition you will assign the copyright in your entry to the Promoter. The Promoter can thereby use your entry for any purpose worldwide. Each entrant warrants and undertakes that their entry does not infringe the copyright or other intellectual property rights of any third party and indemnifies the Promoter against all losses, damage and costs howsoever arising caused by the entry infringing the rights of any third person.
9. Entries will not be considered in the event that the Promoter (including the judges) has the reasonable belief that: (i) the whole or any part of an entry has been copied from elsewhere; (ii) the lyrics in any entry identify any individual that has not agreed to be identified; or (iii) the lyrics of any entry are defamatory, indecent, incite racial or religious hatred, or violate any third party’s rights; or (iv) there is an other appropriate basis for exclusion in the circumstances.
10. All entries submitted will be displayed on-line via an external site accessed by www.myspace.com/dubplatedrama
11. The Promoter shall be entitled to reject any entry or disqualify any winner or entrant, if the promoter believes that: (i) the whole or any part of an entry has been copied from elsewhere; or (ii) the lyrics in any entry identify any individual that has not agreed to be identified; or (iii) the lyrics of any entry are defamatory, indecent or violate any third party’s rights.

Judging and voting
13. All entries will be subject to a non-binding public vote through this website. The public vote will be held between [] and Monday 25 May 2009.
14. Multiple votes can be made for all the entries.
15. In the event that the Promoter considers, in its absolute discretion, that there has been any irregularity in respect of voting (including but limited to vote rigging or block voting for an entry) any relevant entry may be withdrawn from the public vote and will not proceed to the next round.
16. The entries that receive the most public votes and any other entries considered by the Promoter (in its absolute discretion) to be of sufficient merit will then be judged by a panel of experts (including independent judges & one judge from the Promoter). The judges will choose the entries that they consider, in their absolute discretion, are the best lyrics that promote the Spit It Out/What matters to you and promote a positive image.
17. The judges’ decisions shall be final & no correspondence will be entered into. Final judging will take place after 25 May 2009. Winners will be notified within 7 days of judging by phone.
18. The full or professional names of all the judges will be made available on request. Please send a stamped addressed envelope to the correspondence address below marked “Spit It Out, Judges names”. Livity, 9 Brighton Terrace, Brixton, SW9 8DJ
19. Details of the prize winners names, counties & winning entries will be available by sending an SAE no later than 31 October 2009 to the correspondence address marked “Spit It Out, Winners names”. No other correspondence will be entered into.
Prizes and Winners
20. It is expected that there will be four winners (unless the Promoter in its discretion decides to award more or fewer prizes).
21. The prize for each winner is that the winner will be filmed recording their own lyrics in a studio nominated by the Promoter. The winners will be filmed between18 – 31 May 2009. There is no guarantee that any filming will be broadcast. The Promoter shall pay the reasonable costs of or arrange transfers to and from the nominated studio for each winner. If the winner is under the age of 18, the winner must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
22. Prizes are as stated, and no cash or other alternative prizes will be offered.
23. Winners may be required to take part in reasonable publicity. By entering this competition you shall be deemed to have given your permission for this reasonable publicity. This reasonable publicity may include a film of the winner being featured on-line and used generally for publicity purposes. There shall be no additional compensation in respect of this reasonable publicity.
24. All video entries submitted will be branded by ChildLine before being uploaded to the competition gallery.
General
25. The promoter reserves the right to suspend withdraw or amend this promotion, including but not limited to the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical or other difficulties that may compromise its integrity
26. This promotion is governed by English Law & subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
